Writing Affliction Podcast started when long-time friends and authors Kathryn Thornwood and Ruby Katze realized that the many bookish, romance and fantasy, and fandom thoughts might be things that lots of people shared and would love to get in on the conversation. That sparked the choice to see what would happen if we came up with themes we really cared about, popped onto Discord, then hit Record.
Kathryn Thornwood, the Stargazer
Kat splits her time between seeking to understand the cosmos as a Ph.D. astronomer and creating new fantastical worlds with a taste of science and a dash of love as a fantasy author. She shares her short stories and musings on her blog and is deep in the edits of her first completed novel: a demon love story with a heavy dose of family turmoil. In her free time, she explores off-the-beaten-path natural wonders with her husband and their dog, as well as incredible bookshops and libraries along the route. Ruby Katze, the Egalitarian
Ruby Katze splits her time between being in the Courtroom and writing contemporary romance stories of growth and connection, and historical novels full of longing. Her novels are available on Amazon and bookstores near you, and she shares sneak peeks and behind the scenes with her mailing list subscribers.
